A little shopping trip to Home Goods .....

I spent about 2 hours there the other day, hiding out from the heat and getting an eye full of summer sales.....Home Goods is mentioned a few times in my Blog, lol, I should buy stock there! or at least I can safely say Ive bought almost every bowl they've sold :) and of course Summer is for the "Sea" in me, so I had to have these creamy blue Ocean patterned ones ;)
Dessert First anyone ?? :)

I have always had these little cordial glasses, My Daughter used to call them "fairy cups"....cute ;) and the napkins are seersucker cotton....nice and big for catching any ice cream drips :) Notice the "pink" ice cream scooper, yippee ;) gotta love kitchen Aide ;)
I found Pink place mats, and a beautiful pastel table runner from the Cottage Home at HG( I need a better pic of it ) just the perfect shade for me!..... I set the table to surprise my Daughter when she got home ( shes 12 )...I was hoping she'd "hang" with me, but she called and asked to sleepover her girlfriends house.....oh well, more ice cream for me, lol ;)I picked this up for 14.99$, I thought it was perfect for my bathroom .....love the blue shabby chic too :) sooooo Vintage-y.... ;)I hung it on the wall tonight, but have yet to add anything to it.... Im sure I can dig up something :) and then the kids will yell that it says: "Clean Towels , its self explanatory Mom ;)"....but, lol, its too pretty, so Im sure i'll add some scented sachets with ribbons or something :)

I too am a victim of Home Goods. And I admit I turned my friend on to that store as well. And we spend hours looking and re-looking at everything in there. I have to go around the store two or three times because I always miss something of the first round.

I've gotten so many goods things there.
Great buys !

Happy 4th.

Hi Cynthia! I love your blog and will be visiting often! I adore HomeGoods but I have to stay focused when I go there or I'll go way over my budget(okay so I always go over but...) I was in there on Saturday and picked up a few good things too! I've learned get it now or be sorry on the way home! I hate to be the one to tell you but your 12 year old spending time with you is going to get less and less (mine just turned 18 and I average 5-10 mins a day)So Sad!!lol Well I just wanted to say Hi and tell you I love your space! Have a great 4th - Jeannette

I know what you mean about HomeGoods. I too should own stock there. Our closest one is about 45 miles away so I don't go as often as I'd like but when I do, I always come home with goodies. It is very easy to spend 2 hours there. I love that sign for your bathroom. I definitely would have had to have that.

LeAnn:)

Hello Dear Cynthia!

Hope your day is going wonderful for you! I just love coming to your blog for a breath of fresh air! Just heavenly each visit!

I love this table place setting! Love your taste of everything! I have had pastels for years and love the feeling they give me when I walk into each room but lately I am thinking a touch of red would be a good thing...pink & red can go together...right?! Anyhoo, I LOVE Home Goods also! I shop there often. Did you ever see the white chicken lamps there with the pretty beaded shades? I bought 2 of them 3 years ago. I posted them in my early posts...Oh my, I hear my little PT Cruiser honking for me to get in the car and go there! Must go but will be back soon!

Hugs,
Maryjane
