~ gifts and new ventures ~

I hope every one's having a wonderful weekend! I had done a post a few weeks ago on finding some time to pamper yourself. I had featured a few lovelies to add to your Bath and mentioned I was in need of some pampering myself. So sweet Janet over at Lunada Bay Soap Company was so thoughtful and sent me some of her gorgeous Soaps to try. Well, Janet, it was just what this Cottage girl needed! Your kindness and generosity warmed my heart and pampered my soul. Thank You so so much! You all should go and give her site a look and order yourself some lovely soap too! They are just fabulous, so I thought I'd share.....

The scents are amazing! and better yet, they make your skin feel beautiful and pampered!
Thank You Janet, your Soaps are wonderful and not only that, but they are wrapped like little presents, all in my favorite colors too! You are so sweet!

Its' been such a busy couple of weeks in my office. That pampering was just what I needed. I started my online Cottage Shop a month or so ago and it's been such a fun new addition to my Design Business. I am constantly working to make it into a site that everyone can love. It started out very small, with Design Services and a few little accessories , but I am working with NY sales reps on expanding it, so I thought I'd take a minute and post some pics of things to come... My goal is to have it filled with Services, accessories, lighting, furniture , fabrics, etc. I am slowly getting there. The line I am carrying is not up on the website yet, but I thought it would be great to feature it here and get your feedback. Feel free to leave comments on the things I've started to choose for my Cottage furniture choices. If you have thoughts on things you'd like to see in an online Cottage shop , feel free to share too!
The chair above is available in any fabric, but I just adore this creamy yellow floral with red gingham trim! and the ruffled skirt is so sweet!
I love mixing Cottage looks with glorious crystal lighting, and finding a few pieces for the shop has been so much fun.
Of course it will also have that Vintage shabby Cottage feel too, with furniture that is unusual and special....
And a line of white sofas and chairs , with slipcovers that can just be thrown in the wash too, practical is just as important as pretty :) this one below made me smile , I love the ruffled welting!!

I also like mixing in a few Traditional pieces that have fabrics that blend in with the Cottage look! I am hoping to update the website within the month. It's been a bit of work laying it all out, but once it's done, I will be glad to have a place to feature my favorite things!
I Hope you enjoyed a little peek into my new venture, and also found a few things to pamper your body and soul! I am working on another post , but just wanted to fit this one in on a busy Sunday. I hope the weekend is finding you all happy and well! Thanks so much as always for being so supportive and leaving such sweet comments too! Happy Sunday!

Hugs and Thanks,

~ Cynthia ~

Hi Cynthia - You are definitely on the right track! You've got such good 'cottage' taste. I can't wait to see more. I love the yellow cabinet and the traditional chair with the flower print, especially. They would both go very well in my house. I wish you the best in your business endeavor. I know you'll do well. Can't wait to see more. ~Adrienne~

Very beautiful furniture! You have such wonderful taste! I am going to the website to check on that soap! I love nice soaps and I need some pampering, too!

Those pieces of furniture are adorable. I especially love the first little yellow chair. Many years ago I had found a company that made the cutest cottage furniture...it was something like granny's attic. When I get ready to purchase new living room furniture that look (little yellow chair) is what I am going to look for.

Can't wait to see your online goodies!

Lovely!!!
I LOVE that yellow cabinet! And as you know, I am a huge fan of mixing crystals with junk (NOT to imply your stuff is junk...oops)
Au contraire, I am so interested in this entire "online store" thing, I would love to know more about this venture. I've got ants in my pants to try SOMETHING new!
I really enjoy your blog.

Cynthia,

I knew you had to be up to something~I hadn't seen a new post for quite awhile! So, you have been up to good things!! I can't wait to see your finished shop! The 1st chair in the yellow gingham is almost identical to one I have, a picture of it is in a Pink Saturday post from early January. See, we do think alike!

Hi Cynthia,

The soaps are so adorable I couldn't bring myself to unwrap any! Your furniture line is beautiful, every piece has a little unique flair. I love the ruffles on the white slipcovered sofa. Have a great week!

I love the pretty packaging the soaps are presented in. I know you were delighted when you received them. Even such a small gesture of kindness can really make someone's day. When I feel stressed there is nothing better than taking a long hot bath and having a glass of wine. Pampering myself with pretty soaps, shower gels, and other bath goodies is icing on the cake.

That’s exciting news about your new online store. It's a lot of hard work to stock it, but it is so rewarding once you have it finished.

How exciting that you are expanding your cottage shop. The yellow chair with red and white check certainly caught my eye. I recently started adding yellow with my reds and blues and love the "pop" it gives.
Can't wait to see more!

Hi Cynthia,
The new items for your online shop are just beautiful. How exciting! It must be fun to pick everything out and "window shop." I've been trying to pick a favorite out of the things you've shared, and I think it has to be the white sofa. It has such a sweet way about it. I hope you are having a great start to your week and, as always, enjoyed your post today. Take care!

GASP GASP GASP!

hi cynthia,

everything is WONDERFUL!!! i love the creamy yellows, the finishes, shapes, fabrics. it's all perfect. (did you see the link i sent you of the plates at CS post? they look so you!)

how sweet to receive that gift in the mail. blogging friends are amazing. enjoy!

also, if you'd like, i can see about removing the legs from the vanity so it would require a shorter box, less shipping $? just think about it. i can take it off my etsy shop if you want it someday. no hurry at all -- and of course -- no pressure if you change your mind.

have a wonderful week, sweetie!
