A Magical December...

Hello my friends! Well I'm back at my desk trying again to do a blog post with the new format in blogger. Lets hope this works right :) I want to thank Jen O for her much needed tips! It's been such a busy month here but I wanted to squeeze in a post to wish you all a beautiful Holiday season ahead! I'm going to keep this post simple for fear that if I add too much, lol, it might end up all getting wiped out by my novice attempt at layouts and such! So here goes.... I've been working on a new kitchen room box, set in the fabulous and beautiful city of Paris! It will be an elegant Paris kitchen and I'm so excited to be back working on it! Here are just a few sneak peeks of what I've finished so far....

Ok so lets hope what I just uploaded worked :) I have so much left to do on the kitchen like lighting, accessories, and many more details, but it sure has been fun so far!

I also had a wonderful magical month because the sweet and talented Madelva from Miniaturas Magazine has featured my Miniatures in her November issue and I could not be more flattered and honored!!

To be featured with such other wonderfully talented artists was a dream come true! Thank you Miniaturas Magazine! You did such a gorgeous job on the issue, it's stunning!

Then of course, last but not least I created a Cottage Christmas collection for my Etsy shop and it was a pure JOY to make! I hope your season of the holidays and Christmas is one filled with magic and joy every day!

Well I hope you enjoyed my little update :) I hope when I hit publish this works, but if you look at this and it's all a mess, I won't give up till I get it right again :) I miss blogging every week or so, so if this way works, I will be here more often! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! And if you're reading this and then suddenly it disappears, lol, well for that too, I apologize! I'll get right on it!:) I can see in this HTML format that I can't (or I haven't found it yet) choose colors or highlight words or sentences, but hopefully soon I'll be back to my personal looking posts!

Love you all and Happy Holiday Season!!! Cynthia xox!

That looks gorgeous Cynthia! I love the way you have your blog designed with a showcase of your work at the top. I love to play around with my blog design and recently promised my followers I would keep things relatively simple. I will stick with the same free background designs I get from the plumrose blog, so as not to keep confusing and disorienting my followers! Have a merry Christmas!
Hugs from Canada,
Ruth

As always the minis look amazing! For the blog try using Windows Live Writer. It's a free download and is way easier than any blogger setup yet. You can write in live writer, edit, save drafts, and everything. And it's really easy to edit, add photos, and format everything. I don't think I could blog without it. I gave up on blogger for actual posting ages ago! Lol I still have my blog there, but I write in Live Writer.

The kitchen looks amazing, Cynthia! How can it not with a talent such as yours! I'm looking forward to more photos of it. I love the rugged floor and the touch of pink on the walls and here and there. Also, that little suspended armoire over the stove with the netting on the door. I love how you have arranged the window treatment and the scene outside the window gives the final finishing touch of being in Paris when one looks out.

Hello Cynthia, I've bought your book 'cooking and baking in the miniature cottage kitchen' this afternoon. I bought the PDF version, so I have it now. I´m starting to read it and I think that is just fabulous to learn tips and tutorials from you, one of my favourite miniaturists:) I'm so excited to start cooking for my miniature kitchen:) Come round to my blog to see my works, if you want:)
Happy 2013!!
Kisses, Candy:)
