~ Happy Holidays ~

I hope the Season is finding you all healthy and happy! I want to start this post with a big Thank you! Thank you for coming into my little corner of the world and brightening my every day! Its that time of year and I've noticed by all your beautiful blogs , that we are all in the same boat :) covered with trims, wrapping paper, and so many "to-do's"....but I've loved that everyone has opened their homes and given me such beautiful and inspirational eye candy and its so wonderful to share ideas and talents, I appreciate you all so so much! with that said, It's time for me to wrap :) no pun intended, ( oh that was so cheesy, lol ) but then again, im a cheesy kind of girl sometimes.... The pics below are me playing with my wrapping ideas and a few little extras. I haven't come near finishing my shopping, but when I do, I like to spend one day, eggnog in hand and wrap all day. Its fun to collect things throughout the year that I can use on packages and when I pull the box out I'm so happy I did too :)
I use so many things as wrapping paper, sometimes the usual and sometimes scrapbook sheets, tins, fabric, or my new favorites are the little Chinese food cartons. All craft stores have them now, and they are so simple and cute :) I like adding tags with sayings to my packages too, just a little something extra :)

Its fun to have a little box filled with ribbons and small "add-ons" as I call them :) so when I put the bow on the gift, I can just tie a little glittery star or a mini Xmas ornament in the center and it adds a nice touch and another mini gift too :)

This one below is ready to go, filled with a tea cup and some greenery and a few little extras for someone to enjoy. I've seen so many tea cup trees this year and its such a great idea for a tree in the kitchen or anywhere, I love them! Just tie a pretty bow on it and it looks so sweet and ready to hang too!

lol, I adore these little stars, my daughter says I'm going "star crazy"....she's right :)
Doesn't it look sweet on the tree?
Happy Holidays my sweet friends !!

Much Love and Thanks!

~ Cynthia ~

  1. Hi Cynthia,
It all looks so pretty!! I love those boxes too! The teacup looks so cute tied on the tree with the red and white check ribbon, love that. Last year I hung all my vintage jewelry on my pink feather tree in my bedroom, it looked so cute also.

  6. Hi Cynthia,
This is funny...I just logged on and I thought to myself, I wonder if Cynthia has posted yet?? Love all your wrappings. I can remember when I was in junior high and they still had what was called "home economics" class where we actually learned to sew and cook, our teacher taught us how to properly wrap packages and I have loved it ever since.

I think this year I am going to buy a large roll of brown parcel paper and go wild with lots of fancy ribbons. I saw it in a magazine recently and I loved the look and it will look so pretty under the tree too.

Thanks for always inspiring me. I appreciate you too!!

    Hugs,
    LeAnn:)

  10. Cynthia, everything is just darling..but that doesn't surprise me.

Oh by the way, the other day I was shopping and I ran across some dishes that I thought I had to have. (No I didn't buy them) When I got home I thought, "Well, those dishes look a lot like Cynthia's house." You should look them up. Villeroy & Boch Cottage - they have square plates too that are so sweet!!

  21. Cynthia,

    Everything is just stunning.

I thought I saw some Brambly Hedge china in some of your past pictures? I collect that as well. Mine is just sitting in a hutch, but I thought I saw yours on the wall. Very pretty!

  34. Cyn, OMG... I love, love, love your blog. You certainly have put so much TLC into it. My goodness, those miniatures are indeed adorable and I can see how addictive they are. How cute and precious, so perfectly made... so much girly fun! Thanks to you I must (1) try making some pastizzis - never heard of them before; learn new things every day! and (2) I shall pre-order The Farm Chicks' new book! I love them! I first found out about them through you and MySpace. You are the best, Cyn. Lastly, your soundtrack rocks. I shall visit again very soon. I feel like Alice in Wonderland. Lost, only happy-lost. I can just stay here forever. Merry Christmas!!
